I got a hit on match from a guy whose only turn-off listed was "Assertiveness/Boldness". Did he not read my profile? Can I get an Amen from every single person I've ever dated? So in my assertive way, I wrote him back thanking him for his wink and letting him know I am probably the most relationally assertive person he will ever like and that we would be a bad match if he doesn't like assertiveness in a woman.
He thanked me for taking the time to reply, no doubt because most times people just don't respond on match if they aren't interested (and sometimes even if they are, which is another blog topic for another day).
Apparently at some moments, people really DO like polite, considerate, and clear communication.
But now I'm confused...isn't that what assertiveness was all along?
